Assist to build several local temples. We believe that temple is an important part of the Balinese Hindu philosophy of life. Mimpi Resort has donated 6000 square meter of its land including fund to facilitate the development of Segara Temple in Pejarakan village dedicated to Baruna, the God of Sea.

Helping to build a public bathing facility in the hot spring of Banyuwedang. This bathing facility is later operated by the village community. Visitors are quoted fee through a ticket. The fund raised from this facility will directly go for the development of the village and its community.

Getting electricity installed to 12 houses of villagers neighboring the resort including an elementary school (SD 4 Pejarakan).

Establish a program called “Anak Asuh”. This program is aimed at providing educational assistance through scholarship scheme to 30 village children of poverty. Selection is made involving community leaders not only on the basis of learning performance but more importantly on their family background. Priority is given to children who come from poor families. Once a year children with their parents are invited to the resort for a hospitality gathering with the resort owner and management to collect feedback for its further development. This program has run since 1999 and has been well received by community villagers.

Promote and support local participation in the manpower. Nearly 75% of Mimpi team consists of locals from the surrounding villages who were not ready man power at first hand. Through continuous training and development, they now prove to become competent people to support the growth of our business both in resort and diving. Some of them have become qualified dive masters who guide our guests and at the same time protect their home-living environment.

Encourage the growth of several unique performances or dances originating from the local surrounding villages. Some of these performances include Megenjek, Gebuk Ende and the famous Jegog. Local groups are organized to perform in the resort to give brief understanding to the guests about the local cultures and arts.
