Following his homeland-return to Bali in 1975 after many years of living in Germany as a pharmacologist, Mimpi’s founder late Wirja Santoso turned to hotel magnate in late 1980s. The idea was to introduce a portable holiday concept in far-flung corners of Bali to sample the island’s best landscape whilst exploring underwater secrets, culture and enjoying resort luxury. Collaborating with the respective experts from the Ground Kent Architect, the main energy is put to turn critically-dry land of Bali into resorts which melt with the local environment, both above and below water. With firm dedication to quality, two resorts have been currently established in two well-appointed corners of Bali, tulamben in the northeast and menjangan in the northwest. |
