Mimpi Resort Menjangan celebrated its 21st anniversary on December 5th, 2019. We celebrated all the stories – big and small – of our journey realizing the vision and mission of Mimpi’s late founder, Mr. Wirya Santoso. The theme for this year’s birthday is “Mimpi Reborn”, we hope that what Mr. Santoso dreamed of when he built the resort was fulfilled, and we will continue to strive to “maintain harmony between business, nature and human”.
To start off the day we did a clean-up event around the resort to keep the environment clean, and then we proceeded with a ceremony at Padmasana Temple to pray for protection from the Gods. In the evening, we celebrated with a party and live music, followed by games and gift-giving to all of the resort’s staffs.
This year was extra special because the Mimpi family also visited Bali Zoo in Gianyar with their families as part of the birthday celebrations. Bali Zoo is home to over 500 rare and exotic animals including the Komodo dragon, Sumatran tiger, orangutans and Bali Starling bird. The day at the zoo ended with a Tumpeng feast and a speech by the owner.
The event at Bali Zoo was also an opportunity for the staffs and management of the two resorts, Mimpi Resort Menjangan and Mimpi Resort Tulamben, to mingle and create stronger bonds. We have always been a family here at Mimpi and we look forward to achieving more together in 2020!
