There is a mass of abundant fan coral close to the drop-off which descends to more than 40m. The top of the reef is a great place to see a variety of sea anemones and cheeky clownfish. Sergeant major fish may be found along the reef top. Endless array of fan corals some nearly 3 m high. Gorgonians and delicate coral trees adorn barrel sponges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marine life:<\/strong> Profusion of soft corals, sponges, small Gorgonians, large gorgonians moray eels and lionfish. Here, where we meet the waters travelling down the northeast of Menjangan, there is an upwelling of cold waters (ie: thermoclines) from the deep ocean. Like any of Mimpi\u2019s dive operations, it is site-based with the expertise to cover all of Bali\u2019s northwestern sites. A dedicated team, well-maintained equipment and a passion for quality are combined to put safety as our number one priority.<\/p><p>Staying at the resort gives the additional advantage of being able to go for quiet, early morning dives before the crowd from day-trip divers arrive. The dive centre is open from 07:00am to 08:00pm daily. To facilitate smooth diving arrangements, newly-arrived divers are firmly advised to visit the dive centre to make pre-arrangements for next-day trips.<\/p><h3>DIVE SITES<\/h3><p>A daily boat to the dive sites of Menjangan Island is arranged to depart at 09:00am after breakfast, directly from the resort\u2019s gazebo jetty. The journey to the island takes approximately 30 minutes. For two dives, arrival back to the resort is at approximately 02:00pm, thus leaving an ample amount of time to enjoy the resort\u2019s facilities.<\/p><p>Diving to Bali\u2019s famous macro-sites Secret Bay and Puri Jati can be arranged by car.<\/p><p>Unlike the dive sites of Menjangan Island, both locations offer shallow shore dives.
